Say NO To Diets - 13 Easy Ways To Loose Weight and Look Great

Want to lose weight and look great? Here are some easy ways to knock out the fat. No need to make big sacrifices this is not a diet! No fancy diet plans or 4-minute abs here. We are just creating a healthier lifestyle and making smarter choices. The old adage work smarter, not harder applies here. So just follow these easy 13 steps and you will be on your way to "loosing weight and looking great" :-)

1. Keep a track of everything that you eat and drink. You do not need to estimate the exact calories. Just write down what you eat and the approximate quantity. What you measure will improve and as you get better. This makes you accountable when it written down.

2. Limit junk food containing sugar to a few times per week. This includes chocolate, ice cream, desserts, cake, pastries, cookies, hoho's, ding-dong's etc. Just keep the junk to a minimum.

3. Eat a portion of protein at most meals: chicken, fish, beans, cottage cheese, or low fat yogurt. Have eggs, nuts and red meat occasionally but don't overdo those.

4. Eat whole grains, vegetables and beans to increase fibre and keep you regular. The elimination process will help speed up weight loss as you get rid of all the extra crap. (literally) Focus on good, healthy, natural carbohydrates. If it's from a plant, it's good for you, if it's made in a "plant" it is bad.

5. Reduce the fat content in your dairy products. If you are currently drinking whole milk, reduce to 2% fat, 2% reduce to 1%...etc Choose lower fat cheese and yogurt. When you buy yogurt, also check that it does not contain sugar. Don't buy the yogurt with aspartame or other artificial sweeteners.

6. Eat fruit or vegetables with all you meals. This will supply essential nutrients while filling your stomach with good wholesome foods.

7. Drink water instead of sodas, juices, or alcohol. Avoid diet soda - it is loaded with poisonous chemicals like aspartame. Hot water with a slice of lemon can be very refreshing in the morning.

8. Eat vegetables, did I say that already? good. :-) If you are getting hungry, have more. It's hard to overeat on vegetables alone.

9. Eat slowly. The body is slow to register when you are full and it's easy to eat too much if you are racing through your meals and stuffing yourself. See number #8. Eat your vegetables first and that will make your stomach feel full.

10. Cut down on the fat. This means using half as much butter and half the oil in the frying pan every time. Also use healthy oils such as olive oil.

11. Use whole grains wherever possible. The fibre will give you a fuller feeling and also help your digestion. (remember what I said about crap) But go easy on starches many breads, crackers and cereals are not good for you and are loaded wish sugar. Better choices would be oatmeal, potatoes or yams.

12. Plan your meals and snacks ahead of time. Plan your shopping too - make a list of what you need and stick to it. If you just grab something when you are feeling hungry, you will probably choose high calorie food.

13. Turn off the TV when you eat. That includes snacks as well as meals. When you are not paying attention to what you are eating the tendency is to overeat.

Well there you have it the 13 steps to loosing weight and looking great. Once again what you measure will improve. Keep track of what you eat and keep track of your weight and how you look. Get yourself a little notebook and track all these things. Your body will thank you.

Put the Fork Down Fatty! 3 Steps to Loose Weight Now!

Put the Fork Down Fatty!

Did I get your attention. Good... :)

Have you ever wondered why so many people are overweight these days? I was at the mall the other day and it seemed every single person could afford to shed a few pounds. (I am being nice here by the way) In reality, many of the people I encountered were SO BIG they could hardly walk.

You are probably saying to yourself stop Jack your being mean and it's not that bad! Well look around - will you? If you live in the United States or Canada studies suggest that up to 80% are overweight. Many other countries are playing catchup such as the United Kingdom, Japan, China where the number overweight is on a sharp increase.

This is not to mention the disturbing fact that when your at the mall or grocery store you are seeing the people who are capable of that very thing mobility. I would venture a guess that the morbidly obese are not leaving the house. On the extreme side of things, there are those who are bedridden with serious health challenges. They are left to the care of others who bring them food them food. Don't get me started on that topic!

Now don't get me wrong I have nothing against people who are overweight and even I have family and friends who would fit the bill. What I'm saying is this could very well be the next epidemic! We are well on our way. Obesity and all the heath problems that often accompany being overweight such as Type 2 diabetes, heart attack, stroke and poor quality of life.

So what can we do Jack?

Well here are 3 things to get you started:

1. WALK. Go for a walk ever morning. This could be as little as 20 minutes and help get your day started on the right track.

2. Take the STAIRS at work or anywhere where you would normally take the elevator. Stop being so lazy, stay up on your feet while your getting things done. These little things make all the difference!

3. Forget eating 3 meals a day. Eat 4-6 SMALL MEALS a day. Every 3 or 4 hours. Combine a portion of protein with a carbohydrate portion at ever meal. (A portion is about the size of your fist)

Don't ask me why? For now do these 3 simple things and you will be on your way to loosing weight, looking better and feeling good! You don't have to get right you just have to get it going.

Once you master these 3 steps email me for information on the Advanced Program for Extreme Results in Less Time.
